Intel Mac mini upgraded to 2.16GHz Core Duo
As we've mentioned previously, the Intel Core CPU socket in the new Mac mini is socketed. Upgrade possibilites might spring to mind. They did for the folks over at XtremeSystems, who dramatically upgraded their mini by swapping in a 2.16GHz Core Duo for the unit's bundled 1.5GHz Core Solo CPU. Quite a performance boost!
