Photos of upcoming Mac Pro enclosures?
We recently reported that, according to Think Secret, the upcoming Mac Pro enclosures will be quite different in appearance than the current Power Mac G5 towers. Today, we bring a report that contradicts this rumor.
Apple Insider offers a report (with pics) that at least the first iteration of the Mac Pro tower will look very much like the current Power Mac G5 towers, with only minor cosmetic differences. The pictured case has a second optical drive opening on the case front and shows the power supply moved from the bottom of the unit to the top.
The report also indicates that the Mac Pro machines will employ the dual-core Xeon (Woodcrest) CPU in providing dual- and quad-core configurations.
